Beware the Dark Horse
Knowing absolutely nothing about this gentleman, I prefer to think of the following as a cross between Rocky, Hoosiers, Rudy, and Seabiscuit. And while I have no idea how many signatures the man filed, I say LET THE MAN RUN! Democracy at its finest.

Couldn't be worse than what we've got now.
I agree, let the man run. As you are most certainly aware, Liz Brown, on behalf of Mike Madigan requested copies of Alexi's petitions. Word is Madigan is going to do everything in his power to get Alexi off the ballot. I think that is wrong. How much longer will you and other members of the house tolerate Madigan. Is it right that the leader of the Democratic Party in Illinois is anti-choice? Is it right that he put his unqualified daughter in as AG? I think the time is right to pick Mike off as Speaker. I really think there is enough anomosity amongst your fellow members and the general public, that it could finally be done.
