Even His Ambulance isn't Too Smart

Sure, in theory it could have happened to any of us - but it didn't. And before anybody jumps on me for picking on the President, lighten up, I'm just sharing a little levity on a Monday morning.

WASHINGTON -- President Bush's motorcade had a minor accident Sunday when the ambulance that routinely trails the president in case of an emergency crashed into a support vehicle on the way back from Camp David.

Secret Service spokesman Jonathan Cherry said no one was injured and the motorcade did not stop before arriving at the White House. The presidential limousine, which travels near the front of the motorcade of more than a dozen vehicles, was not involved.

The accident occurred a few blocks from the White House. The motorcade's lead vehicles slowed down, but the ambulance did not stop in time and rear-ended a Chevy Suburban carrying high-tech communications equipment, damaging the back bumper and doors. The Suburban in turn hit a support van in front of it.

Is our State Rep covering up ethics problems with censorship?

I don't know what the heck are you talking about, nothing was deleted from here. And if you do want to accuse me of something, feel free to do it here or via e-mail to me, but if you're sure that you're right, don't do it anonymously. I have zero problem standing by my professional record but I am losing patience with cowards who want to throw rocks from dark corners.

I agree with you wholeheartedly John. People who choose to remain anonymous are simply cowards, or perhaps they have an even worse reason for not wanting to show their face.

And your only reason for not adding a sitemeter is to "protect" these cowards' anonymity, which is not even your job. Anybody who could determine an anonymous commenter's identification using sitemeter data could do it just as easily without the sitemeter.

Hiding your traffic stats from the people does nothing to "protect the anonymity" of people like the above commenter.

Please share your traffic stats with the people and let's get you moved up into the ranks of "The Best" where you belong.

Thanks for blogging and keep up the good work.

While we can laugh at Bush for his mistake, remember there was a story out there that showed Sen. Kerry earned grades that were less than the Presidents.
