We'll Miss You Lou

Not that there's ever a good time to get news like this, but it was very depressing to be in the car this morning and hear of the passing of State Rep. Lovana Jones on the morning news. Lou was a strong woman who was always ready with a quick smile and laugh, yet who would not shy away from fighting for those issues in which she believed. And if you ever got on Lou's bad side even once, you knew that you never wanted to be there again:) She will be missed.

It's too bad that Rep. Jones had been coaxed into seeking re-election, even though she had stated that she wanted to pass the responsibility of being a legislator to someone else. As a result she had to go through the stress and strain of a contested primary, which I can only assume did not help her health condition.

She will be missed though.

Not sure Lou could have been "coaxed" into doing something she didn't want to do. She wanted to "run" and she did. I use the word "run" loosely because she had a nominal opponent.
No question she will be missed in the legislature. No more cracks about the "little boy" on the second floor.

Rep. Fritchey-

Thanks for taking time to include kind comments about my political godmother, Rep. Jones. Having been with her from the beginning, I was her Issues and Research director in her first campaign, I can say there will never be another Lou Jones. Thanks again.
